About jOAI
jOAI is a Java web application that implements the Open Archives Initiative
Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH).
jOAI was developed by Digital Learning Sciences (DLS) at the
University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR)
to support the Digital Library for Earth System Education (DLESE)
and is maintained as an open source project used by a number of organizations.
Support was provided by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the
DLESE Program and other grants.
The DLESE website and repository have been retired. You can read about DLESE at the NCAR Arvhives.
jOAI uses the Apache Lucene search API
and the Apache Struts Web application framework,
as well as other open source software. See a partial listing of
licenses.
This product includes software developed by the Apache Software Foundation
(http://www.apache.org/).
